It’s been a long lockdown for us at A&A Gas. Only being allowed to do emergency repairs has been challenging, but we got through it, and we’re now lucky enough to be able to start doing boiler and heating system installations again.
The Government relaxed the lockdown rules at the beginning of June which means we’re able to go into people’s houses when it’s not exclusively an emergency. This allows us to start working on the growing list of installations we have on our order books … with the correct social distancing measures in place of course!
We recently took an old boiler out, fitted a new one in the loft, added a hive controller downstairs and changed over a radiator. It was an extensive job, but our engineers got it done in just two days and we left behind another happy homeowner.
We cleaned and disinfected on arrival, the homeowner made themselves scarce while we were there and we cleaned and disinfected once we’d finished. Gloves were worn at all times by our engineers.
Instead of demonstrating the new Hive system to the homeowner face-to-face, we used a video call on our mobiles to show them how it all worked. Even in situations like this, we can use technology to ensure everything is running smoothly and our customer is happy with the work we’ve done for them.
